Interviewing Customers No. 3

I simply asked what each person thought of my idea "Study Money" after explaining it to them. This was the first time I got negative feedback so I was pretty surprised. I was actually asked questions that were hard to answer so I learned I would still have to make my idea more detailed. I really like that I did get negative feedback though because I felt it was very honest and raised questions that did need attention.

  1. Hi Rachel,
Let me just say I love the idea, but I have a really hard time picturing it ever happening. I think that a section of the business model that needs to be cleaned up is how you will obtain these grants. I feel like the feedback would have a tendency to be a lot more positive if people actually believed your idea could happen because you had a clear plan for accomplishing it. As it currently stands, a company based around donors just handing out money to students simply doing what they are supposed to do seems far fetched to say the least.
Thank you for sharing! Here is a link to my own post as per requirements:

  2. Hi Jacob, I completely agree. I would definitely need to clean up the idea a little and put more work into it. Thanks for your feedback!

  3. Hi Rachel!
I really like your idea but I also agree with Jacob. You would need to convince people to fund you and give them a reason to. This idea would definitely encourage many students to study but its is completely ideal for a college student. By studying they are getting paid, doing to things at the same time. Maybe think of not only a pitch or idea to sell your product but also for why funders should be giving money

  4. Hi Rachel! I really like the base concept of your idea, but as the others pointed out, it may be hard to obtain money for a model like this. Perhaps if it wasn't just spending money, but scholarship money or money off of tuition this idea might be better received and become easier to implement. This way, instead of scholarships based simply off of GPA, it could be based off of how much work the student put into the class. I know that I have put in a lot of work into some classes, but my grades don't always reflect the amount I put in, so having a program that encourages studying and learning the material instead of just passing a class would be great!

  5. Hey Rachel, Not sure whats going on with the link for your video. When I click on the link it takes me to one video when I copy and paste the link it takes me to another video. I see on your youtube channel that there are only three videos for this assignment. This assignment calls for five interviews not sure if I can't see the other videos. Also try to avoid recording your videos vertically as soon as you turn your camera horizontally your video production quality is drastically improved. Make sure you film in a well lit scene so that the viewers can see your subjects. Other than that keep up the good work

    1. Hi Quintino! I do only have 3 videos however one of the videos contains 3 interviews together resulting in 5 interviews. I think the links got clumped together when I pasted them so I'll be sure to fix that! Thanks for the pointers!
